The gorgeous Sofia Vergara was hospitalized on Sunday for an undisclosed ailment and sources close to the actress say she will be having an operation; the nature of her condition is not yet known.
The actress had planned on attending the Oscar's and making an appearance at Madonna's party.
Vergara was last seen in public on Friday evening with her fiancee Nick Loeb as they dined at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood and she appeared in good spirits. In recent days, she was busy filming on her hit television show, "Modern Family".

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan was informed on Friday that another legal blow has been launched in her direction as the LA District Attorney's Office subpoenaed her former assistant, Gavin Doyle, to testify against her in an upcoming trail.
It is believed that Doyle will testify that it was indeed Lohan driving at the time of her car crash last June. The actress had insisted that it was not her and witness claimed that she insisted Doyle take the blame for the mishap.
At the time of the crash, Lohan was on her way to filming the epic flop, "Liz and Dick".

Gossiping tongues are wagging again as speculation continues to mount that Kris and Bruce Jenner are headed for a separation. Sources claim that the duo have not been seen in public since the Christmas holidays and continue to spend their free time pursuing their own endeavors. The claims continue that the duo have remained together this long for the sake of their television series "Keeping Up with the Kardashian's".
On Saturday, Kris was seen with her daughter Kim Kardashian as news leaked that she and boyfriend Kanye West were expecting a daughter. (As an interesting side note, Kanye's management team has insisted that he not appear any more on Kim's hit TV show as it "cheapens" his image.) Meanwhile, on the other side of Los Angeles, Bruce was see out enjoying coffee with friends.
If a divorce is in the works, it will be interesting to see how the shared $175 million dollar empire is carved up.
