Sofia Vergara and fiancé Nick Loeb have reportedly hit a rough patch in their relationship and are working through their problems in couples counseling, according to a Jan. 24 report in The Christian Post. The couple made headlines on New Year’s Eve when Loeb was allegedly involved in a fight at Miami nightclub, Story.
Star magazine reports that the couple got engaged in July of last year and although they have not yet married, they have sought counseling following the Miami nightclub incident.
“She decided they needed professional help before she would walk down the aisle,” a source close to Vergara revealed to Star. “They had their first session over the phone- and so far, so good!”
According to media reports regarding the New Year’s Eve incident, Vergara's ex-boyfriend Chris Paciello being present caused the argument between Loeb and the “Modern Family” star. “Nick seemed tense around Chris, who was hosting them in the VIP section, even though he and Sofia are just friends,” an onlooker at the club told The New York Post.
Some pushing and shoving was involved with fellow club goers, resulting in Vergara’s dress being ripped and Loeb expelled from the club. “In the early hours, Nick and Sofia were arguing before he got into a dispute with somebody at a neighboring table,” the insider continued. “Sofia stepped in to try to calm the situation, but somehow she ended up getting pushed and and shoved also.”
A different source told The Post that “things got pretty heated, but [Sofia] was never hit,” but the 40-year-old's dress was ripped. “Her strapless dress was torn or pulled down in the melee, exposing her cleavage in front of other people and her son Manolo, who was offended … [he] left the club. It was crazy,” explained the source.
