'Modern Family': Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson celebrate Prop 8 ruling

Are we ever going to get a wedding between Cam and Mitchell on "Modern Family" before the series finale? The answer to this certainly appears to be up in the air at the moment, but the actors behind TV's most-popular gay couple are doing what they can to encourage equality through a series of messages.

In a new post on his Twitter account, Jesse Tyler Ferguson posted a photo of his fictional character with Jam holding up the following sign:

"How could you not want to see us tie the knot?"

This post was made in response to the news that an appeals court found Proposition 8 to be unconstitutional, but there is still to be a battle to fight before same-sex couples can marry in the state of California again.

Do you think Cam and Mitchell -- despite them being fictional characters -- could actually help this movement?
