It turned out to be an eventful Friday evening for three of the cast members of the hit show “Modern Family.” Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were on their way to Kids Night Out 2013 when the incident occurred, according to Yahoo March 2. The elevator suddenly stopped between floors and they remained stuck there for more than 45 minutes.
The stars passed the time by posting funny videos to Twitter with the 12 other people trapped with them. Once rescued from the elevator, Ferguson tweeted, "Finally made it out of the stuck elevator at the one hour mark. At least the firemen in K.C. are cute."
They were an hour late taking the stage due to the incident. Stonestreet ended the speech by telling guests to have a great evening and avoid the elevators! Kids Night Out 2013 is a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City. It was being held at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel in Missouri.
Sounds like the events of the evening could have been taken straight out of a scene from the popular sitcom. Maybe the writers will use it for a future episode!
