'Modern Family' cast get stuck in elevator, visit Stonestreet's childhood home

There are certain television casts that band together on-screen and off-screen. In the 90's that show was Friends. Now that show is Modern Family and on Mar. 1, castmembers Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Julie Bowen showed they had a sense of humor in real life. The 3 castmembers along with an elevator full of people tweeted a hilarious video using Vine demanding, "get us out" when they were trapped in an elevator for nearly an hour en route to the Boys & Girls Club fundraiser, Kids Night Out 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The group took the situation in stride entertaining twitter with photos and videos of themselves. By the end of the ordeal, Ferguson tweeted out:

"Finally made it out of the stuck elevator at the one hour mark. At least the KC firemen were cute."

The fun didn't stop there. Stonestreet is originally from Kansas City and he took Ferguson and Bowen on a tour of his boyhood home. He videotaped the surprise he had for them at the end and posted it to Whosay. It was a snowball being thrown at them.

The big question of the night was where was Ty Burrell? Burrell is another castmember who was scheduled to attend the fundraiser as well, yet he wasn't in the elevator or at Stonestreet's house. There has been no response from Burrell yet but it's nice to see a cast get along so well on-screen and off.
