It is certain that one time in your life or another that you have heard to set your sights on the frontrunner and you will do better. If you only run to your potential, you will never improve, but if you look for the best, you will achieve much more.

Carrie Boyko is a front runner! Not only does she inspire other writers and animal enthusiasts to do better, to get involved, to keep on top, but she also puts her money where her pen (or in her case, most likely her computer) is and she gets involved. Her goal was to follow her father’s lead and become an activist; a philanthropist in something that she believes in. Boyko believes in animals!

This being said, she recently announced that the Super Dog Sunday™ Photo Contest Returns. Once again, Carrie and her Event Barkers partner, Paris Permenter of DogTipper, are continuing their annual charity event which will benefit Petfinder Foundation. It is their hope – and goal – to see that many of the people who enter their pets will also take a few minutes to enter a Petfinder adoptable pet, as a way of giving that pet a better chance at finding a home--a little extra promotion of the pet's existence.

Details for the Super Dog Sunday™ charity photo contest are as follows:

Who: Event Barkers is hosting and sponsoring this event, with Nature's Logic as their Platinum Sponsor. You, too, may donate to Petfinder Foundation to help more pets find homes.

What: One football-themed photo may be entered per animal. The Event Barkers’ judges will categorize entries and select the winners. You are welcome to enter as many different animals and Petfinder adoptables as you wish. See All Things Dog Blog for additional information. Prizes will include $500 in Nature's Logic pet food and other goodies like football toys for Fido.

Where: The photo entries will be shared simultaneously on All Things Dog Blog and DogTipper in the form of a Blog Hop.

When: Entries may be submitted immediately; photos will open for viewing on Saturday, January 18th at 11:00 a.m. ET. Entries close at kick-off time on Sunday, February 2nd. Winners will be announced February 3rd when the judges deliberations are complete. Voting will be available on the sites for you to share your favorites with our judges; however the judges' decisions are final.

Why: Let's help Petfinder get exposure for their adoptable pets and have a chance to win fun prizes while we're doing it!

How: Pets and Petfinder adoptable pets of all kinds may be entered once per animal. Bloggers may upload their photos directly from their blog post to the Blog Hop, titling their entry with the pet's name. Others may email their entries as attachments to EventBarkers@gmail.com, making sure to include your name and your pet's name. Photos may be taken in football theme or decked out with a graphic football theme. Use backgrounds, props and costumes to create your winning photo or graphic additions to create your decked out photo entry.

Help Carrie Boyko to help pets in need of their forever homes. This is a solid, fun way to get involved – and you and your pooch may even score big while doing it! One good philanthropic measure deserves another – don’t you think?
