What kind of drinks will you serve for Super Bowl? On Sunday at 5:00 p.m. St. Louis time, the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will kick off Super Bowl XLVI.
Living in a city where a stadium is named after a brewery, St. Louis residents may assume that this celebration needs to include alcohol. However, if you are hosting a party and want an alternative to alcoholic beverages, My Daily Moment is offering a fruit mocktail recipe.
The mocktail contains no alcohol, so you don’t have to worry about sending your guests home to drive while intoxicated after the game. Depending on whether you use 100% juice or a juice blend, it may not even contain much sugar. It certainly won't have the carbonation and high fructose corn syrup found in most sodas.
The ingredients include:
Pineapple juice
Orange juice
Cranberry juice
And a dash of grenadine
Find these easy ingredients at St. Louis area grocery stores . This week, you will find:
Shop ‘N Save is offering Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice on sale. It comes in 59 oz. bottles for $2.88 each. Or, enjoy Prairie Farms Orange Juice 2 for $5.00.
Schnucks has Langers 100% Juice Blends, including cranberry, 2 for $5.00.
Dierbergs has Simply Orange Juice for $3.28 for a 59 oz. container.
Check with Aldi, Target, Walmart or St. Louis area Deals stores for every-day savings on additional ingredients.
