'Mockingjay' trailer screen shots surface online amid new release rumors

New rumors are floating around the Internet that the first teaser-trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 will debut in theaters this week with the new Transformers movie.

And some alleged screen shots of the trailer have already hit the web.

The screen shots (since deleted) show a stoic-looking Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) dressed in white, standing beside President Snow (Donald Sutherland). The seal of Panem, the fictional country where The Hunger Games takes place, and the word "unity" are also seen.

Fans have been clamoring for a Mockingjay trailer for months now, but Lionsgate has been noticeably silent on the matter -- instead releasing a few still images and now some promotional propaganda posters. Filming on Mockingjay only just wrapped-up, but the filming included two movies -- with Part 1 being released in November, and Part 2 following a year later.

Rumors of the Mockingjay trailer's debut came from a posting in IMDB by an Australian movie theater employee, who says he delivered a box labeled "Untitled Trilogy Teaser A." The post claims the package came from Roadshow Films, the Australian distributor of The Hunger Games films.

If the rumor is true, it means the Mockingjay teaser will play with Transformers: Age of Extinction, which opens in theaters this coming weekend.

Of course, Lionsgate has not said anything about if the rumors or true -- and there is still no word on when the trailer will be made available online. Fans are left puzzling over the radio silence on the matter, and when they will finally get a good look at official footage from the first Mockingjay movie.

What do you hope to see in a Mockingjay trailer? Would you go see Trasnformers: Age of Extinction just to see the Mockingjay trailer?
