The morning coffee is already part of our daily routine, and it looks so simple and quick to prepare, that the majority of us don’t know there is a lot of details and types and ways to prepare this magical drink. From the consumer’s point of view those details are not so important, we just need our coffee the same way it was prepared the first day we had it.
The coffee use to be known as just the black, strong, energetic morning drink, but there are a lot of factor that modify the flavor, the strength, even the way smells and brew.
They are going from “blonde,” Arabica or black, to Ethiopian, South American, Middle Eastern… the list is long and I am not the expert. The things to remember at the end, and what we ask for in the countertop or the drive thru is, our mocha, or latte or cappuccino.
The is more focus the way we want our coffee than what kind of coffee we are drinking. But that doesn’t mean that we are not interested to know more about coffee.
To promote that education, the big coffee companies are selling different kind of coffee beans, grinded and packed. Would be the consumer the one who have to try it and ultimately request it later on in the coffee shop.
So today let’s discover the Mocha:
The Mocha is a very simple drink, some said that is the marriage between chocolate and coffee, and there is nothing more real than that. Prepare a cup of hot chocolate, I prefer to use skim milk and Mexican cocoa, then add an espresso shot or two, depends how strong you’d like it. Add sugar if you feels like and whip cream. If you want to garnish you can use on top some chocolate grated or cinnamon.
The base concept is here, the most important thing is personalize your drink and get the best compliment from your guests. Enjoy!
