With the warming of the world to come, let us take this time to spread the warming of our hearts to our brothers and sisters of all Faiths as we celebrate the Holy Days surrounding the Winter Solstice and give of our Light. On December 25th, Black Bottom Brewing will be on the streets making a real difference in the lives of the Gods' children with the Mobile Soup Kitchen Christmas. To use their own words, they will be
"making up a huge kettle of bean and ham soup the night before, we'll set up one of our brew burners off the back of my truck and feed some hungry people on the street. We take donations on a "pay what you can" basis, we won't discriminate against those who have money."
A dedicated group of people bent on doing right and good in this world, they will be serving the community from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The lifting of a single finger can make all the difference in the world to those who are uplifted by it, but this group could sure use some help. They are asking for donations from those who can spare it in order to make this event reach as many as possible who are in need.
What they are asking for is simple. They are looking for donations and of course they could use as many hands and hearts as possible. They ask for those who wish to donate to
"drop off all items at the Artist Village 17336 Lahser. Come in through the coffee house ... Tuesday from 8AM to 7PM"
What they are asking for those who are able to gift to this cause is
- Food Items
- Take-out bowls or cups & lids
- Paper Cutlery
- 10 lbs. Northern Beans
- 5 lbs. Carrots
- 5 lbs. Onions
- Clothing items
- Winter Clothing like coats, gloves, hats, etc
- Personal Hygiene Products
So come on out and spread the Light.
