Mobile Mona's Myrtle Beach Get-Away wrap-up by EG's Andy Rajhathy (Photos)

Executive Golf vice president Andy Rajhathy reports that the fairways of several Myrtle Beach golf courses were filled with happy Ottawa-area golfers during Mobile Mona’s Myrtle Get-Away.

“The trip was a complete success. The participants have already started to provide feedback and it's very positive.

We’ll put in some minor tweaks with scheduling for next year and I am confident our getaways can continue to flourish as we go to new and exciting places.

I knew I had done my work when after my presentations I was handed a bottle of Oban scotch. What a way to cap off the week.

The Slammer Tour results from the trip can be found on www.slammertour.com. We had four events during the week.

One of the interesting formats was the four-person team challenge. Participants were drawn to make up the teams and didn't necessarily know who each other were, or even play with them. Each team received points based on various challenges throughout the week. The team that came out on top was that of Orrett Fagan, Sylvie Jodoin, Mike Therien and Ray Saumur.

The weather was great. Although our first day was rained out in the morning, half of the golfers got in 18 after lunch. The other four days were top notch.

Next up we have the il Primo Get-Away to Binghamton, followed by our regular fall getaway, then we’re looking to go to Ocean City in November and somewhere special in February 2014. Stay tuned!”
