'Mob Wives' star Ramona Rizzo plans wedding; Husband won't be there

In last week's episode of "Mob Wives" fans found out that Ramona Rizzo is engaged to her incarcerated boyfriend. On Feb. 14 NY Post reports that she is now planning an extravagant wedding where the groom will not be in attendance. Ramona is the granddaughter of mafia man Benjamin "Lefty Guns" Ruggiero and is now planning to tie the knot with Joseph "Joe Boy" Sclafani. The union would bring together Rizzo, who is a Bonnano crime family descendant with Sclafani, a Gambino crime family soldier.

Ramona says that Joe is facing more than a decade in prison but he didn't want to deny her a wedding, so she is planning a lavish affair for over 500 attendees in June. The wedding will be held at Coral House on Long Island. Ramona says that they will pass the phone around so that Joe can talk to her and friends on the big day since he can't be there. Ramona claims that her family is happy about the union because he is Italian; Her first husband whom she had four children with was Jordanian and her family disowned her for marrying him. She says that hers is not a traditional love story because he's incarcerated, but if you are in love, then you can make it work. Ramona also says that perhaps the key to a good marriage is to not have a husband always in your face.

Joe Scalfani was arrested in 2012 after someone implicated him in helping to facilitate a cocaine trafficking ring. He also faces previous charges for running a syndicate that sold marijuana being grown in Staten Island greenhouses. Scalfani has previously done time for helping Costabile “Gus” Farace evade a federal manhunt.
