'Mob Wives' season five already filming; cast stays same sans Alicia DiMichele

Luckily for fans who loved season four's cast for "Mob Wives," the cast for season five is so far remaining the same, except for Alicia DiMichele. All About The Real Housewives reported on Friday, June 6, that producers have not brought in any new women or taken anyone out. According to a source, filming for the new season began on Thursday, June 5. Back for season five is Renee Graziano, Drita D'Avanzo, Angela "Big Ang" Raiola, and Natalie Guercio.

Alicia DiMichele, who joined the show in season four as the "new blood" with Natalie, announced in late April that she has decided to leave the show in order to concentrate on her federal embezzlement cast and taking care of her boys. A source explained that Alicia, who perhaps joined the show prematurely since she is still waiting for her sentence to come down, came to the conclusion that she had to leave the hit show in order to better her image in the eyes of the court.

Producers apparently believe that season four worked and so no changes needed to be made with the cast. In fact, they still want Alicia. According to the source, they're still hoping that Alicia returns and are bugging her to do so. Perhaps a big pay raise will sway Alicia back towards the show?

If Alicia doesn't come back, a veteran may take her place. The source added that there are rumors that producers are trying to bring in Karen Gravano so that Renee as an ally for the season. Drita and Big Ang, who used to be on Renee's side, grew distant from her last season and sided with Alicia and Natalie when it came to her drama with them.

The source explained that with even Big Ang not willing to fight for Renee, the show needs someone who will do Renee's dirty work and Karen, who needs the money, would be willing to do so. However, Karen doesn't seem to be that desperate for money. When a fan asked her in late May whether she'll be returning for season five of "Mob Wives," she replied that she's too busy with her own life to engage in the show's drama.

Alicia DiMichele is still making appearances with Renee Graziano, Drita D'Avanzo, Big Ang, and Natalie Guercio. She partied with them at a OK! Magazine party about a week ago. Perhaps, if not returning as a full-time cast member, she'll end up making a few appearances on the new season?
