One person who isn't surprised that violence broke out at a recent party thrown to celebrate the premiere of "Mob Wives: New Blood" is co-producer Meryl Poster. At a recent magazine party, Meryl said that the "Mob Wives" ladies don't just fight verbally like the "Real Housewives" women.
“They’re not housewives, they’re ‘Mob Wives,’” she said when asked about the violence, according to a Page Six article posted on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
However, Meryl hinted that viewers won't be seeing that kind of violence on "Mob Wives: New Blood" and explained how it was possible for things to get so out of control at the premiere party. She said that the party wasn't an official VH1 party but was a private event thrown by a producer.
“There wasn’t the same level of security. When we’re on set, there’s a tremendous amount," she added.
During the show's premiere party last Thursday, new cast member Natalie Guercio smacked a woman over the head with an alcohol bottle. The woman, Alexis Crinion Genovese, ended up going to the hospital and needing to get seven stiches.
