'Mob Wives' Drita D'Avanzo turns over a new leaf

In past seasons, "Mob Wives" fans have seen Drita D'Avanzo as the hard hitting, foul mouthed mob mama of Aleeya and Gizelle. While there were several fights that Drita was involved in, she is turning over a new leaf according to an interview with Ms. D'Avanzo on Jan. 9.

In the second season of the hit VH1 show, Drita began going to anger management. She backed down from doing a professional boxing match because she didn't want to teach her girls that violence was the answer to solving problems, and truth be told, she didn't want to ruin her face while she was just beginning to get back into modeling to support her family.

Now, Drita says that fans of the show will be able to see a different side of her in the third season of the show. She hopes that fans will still enjoy the less violent Drita just as much as they liked the tough girl that yells, swears, and beats people up. Drita is trying to set a good example for her girls Aleeya, 12 and Gizelle, 5. She says that she doesn't know what she cared about before having them, because they are the wonderful. Gizelle likes to dress up like Big Ang with balloons in her dance costume and be silly while Aleeya has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor just like her father.

D'Avanzo is working on a book about her life where she details some touchy subjects that she doesn't like to talk about and things fans don't know about. She has been auditioning for movies and is focusing on acting and hosting. Drita has also just finished her own cosmetics line called Just Me by Drita and started a new charity called Single but Not Alone, an organization that helps single moms with aid and supplies to struggling moms working to make ends meet.

It sounds like Drita has made some drastic changes in bettering her life and the life of her girls. Hopefully fans will see the change as a good thing as well.
