MNAPVI fall events

MNAPVI is the local affiliate for the National Association of Parents with Visually Impaired children (NAPVI). The organization is comprised of parents of visually impaired children with the goal of helping Minnesota families with emotional support, outreach programs, networking, and advocacy support. MNAPVI offers and collaborates on several events throughout the year. Here are just a few that are upcoming this fall.

On Saturday, September 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., MNAPVI will be at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley. Lunch will be provided at the event. RSVP or get more information from Blair Huggins at avainspired@gmail.com. This should be a fun event for the whole family.

On Sunday, September 25, the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) will be holding its VisionWalk at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:30 a.m. FFB's primary mission is to drive research on degenerative diseases. You can find more information about FFB and the VisionWalk online.

Then, on Friday, October 7, kick up your heels for the annual fundraising Barn Party out in Chanhassen. There will be music, dancing, a silent auction, and good fun. The contact for this event is Casey Bergquist at caseyjbergquist@yahoo.com.

Make plans now to participate in one or more of these events supporting a great, local organization.
