The Minnesota Stars FC wanted a win. After going winless in their last 6 matches, the Stars hoped to rebound against the struggling FC Edmonton on Saturday night at the NSC Stadium in Blaine, Minn.

The Stars scored first on a blast from defender Cristiano Dias' shot that ended his two year scoreless drought with the Stars. Bryan Arguez’s second half goal for Edmonton equalized the scoring resulting in a 1-1 draw.

With only three goals in the last seven games, the Stars hope to fair better against the San Antonio Scorpions FC on September 1, at the NSC Stadium.
