The Stars scored first on a blast from defender Cristiano Dias' shot that ended his two year scoreless drought with the Stars. Bryan Arguez’s second half goal for Edmonton equalized the scoring resulting in a 1-1 draw.

With only three goals in the last seven games, the Stars hope to fair better against the San Antonio Scorpions FC on September 1, at the NSC Stadium.
