MMA returns to Twin River for CES "No Surrender" Howard vs Chattelle

Mixed Martial Arts action returns to Lincoln, RI as Twin River plays host to CES MMA's "No Surrender" on Friday, April 13. The card features a main event pitting reigning CES middleweight champion Todd "The Hulk" Chattelle (10-6, 8 KOs) defending his title vs former UFC contender John "Doomsday" Howard (15-7, 4 KOs).

In addition to a key light heavyweight battle between Cody Lightfoot (6-2, 4 KOs) of Somerset, N.H., and White Plains, N.Y., veteran Mike Stewart (6-3, 2 KOs), the undercard features a lightweight battle between Pawtucket’s Tom Evans (2-0, 1 KO) and Dominic Warr (1-2) of Maynard, Mass. Additiaonaly, a middleweight bout between former Johnson & Wales University wrestling standout Brennan Ward (1-0, 1 KO) of Providence and New York veteran Harley Beekman (4-0, 2 KOs).

Pete Jeffrey (5-4, 2 KOs) of Pawtucket will face Lucas Cruz (3-0) of Boston in a lightweight bout while his brother, Keith Jeffrey (6-2-1), will face Plymouth, Mass., welterweight Chip Moraza-Pollard (6-3, 4 KOs) of the Cape Cod Fighting Alliance. The undercard also includes a battle between 175-pounders Abe Pitrowski (5-1, 2 KOs) of Pawtucket and Nick Drummond (5-0) of Brockton, Mass., and Zach Costello (1-0) of Scituate, Mass., will face Waltham, Mass., newcomer Sergii Muslienko in a welterweight bout. Bantamweight Dinis Paiva Jr. (1-2) of East

Providence, R.I., will be on the card in a separate bout.

Tickets for “Never Surrender” are $35.00, $55.00, $100.00 and $125.00 and can be purchased by calling CES at 401.724.2253/2254, online at or, at the Players Club booth at Twin River, or through any TicketMaster location. Doors open 6 p.m. with the first bout scheduled for 7.

(Twin River has waived its 18+ rule for “Never Surrender.” Anybody under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must enter through the West entrance).
