Just hours after Gutierrez made headlines for announcing she was "obsessed" with Invicta FC superstar Bec Hyatt, she was back to her old tricks by calling for an article to be written about her love for Baszler.
"No article of my girl crush on @QoSBaszler ?? #boo rt “@EricHolden: @mgutierrezlv haha I made it into an article. RT?!? lolol” Gutierrez wrote on her personal Twitter page.
When asked by Long Island MMA Examiner Eric Holden exactly why she has so much love for Baszler, Gutierrez said "because she's real, one of the realist people I've ever met."
After Baszler caught wind of Gutierrez's kind-hearted comments, she chimed in with a response that showcased her all-too-familiar self-confidence.
"@EricHolden @mgutierrezlv dont ask such silly questions! She has good taste!" Baszler wrote via Twitter.
"Yea that too. Lol," Gutierrez added in response to Baszler.
Male MMA fans shouldn't get too hyped up about their lesbian fantasies becoming fulfilled, as Gutierrez has a serious boyfriend.
It appears that the ladies were just having some fun on social networking sites, and fans shouldn't take the back-and-forth love-fest too seriously.
Gutierrez was slated to face Felice Herrig in a rematch at Bellator 84 on December 14, 2012, but she announced on Dec. 1, 2012 that she had suffered a broken hand and would not be able to fight.
No word yet on when Gutierrez plans to return to action.
As for Baszler, she was choked out by Alexis Davis on Jan. 5 at Invicta FC 4.
