Bellator MMA veteran Felice Herrig got wild at the Invicta FC 4 afterparty, as she posted to her official Facebook fan page on Jan. 8 a photo of herself licking Invicta FC strawweight champ Carla Esparza's new championship title belt.
Herrig was spotted at the Invicta FC 4 afterparty downing Coronas and cocktails, living it up amongst the best female fighters in the world.
"Reason #1 for Carla Esparza to disinfect her new Invicta Fighting Championships belt," Herrig joked in the photo caption.
Herrig, 28, is currently the No. 5 strawweight in the world, as she's riding a three-fight win streak of top-notch opponents.
Two of her last three victories came over the tough Patricia Vidonic, and she sandwiched a unanimous decision win over Simona Soukupova between her Vidonic fights.
It's nice to see that Herrig and Esparza are able to have a good time together, just 13 months after they slugged it out for 15 minutes at XFC 15 in Tampa, Florida.
Herrig has no problem using her sex appeal to gain sponsors and maximum exposure among fight fans.
“I mean, it’s always going to play a role and I don’t think that’s ever going to change in general with female sports," Herrig said of the sex appeal factor in women's MMA. "Men will always be bigger and stronger; when you think of sports, you think of men’s sports. Look at the WNBA compared to the NBA. Most people aren’t going to be diehard WNBA fans because they love basketball. With women, people need more of a reason to want to watch because mostly men are watching anyways."
"If you know that, you’d be stupid not to use it if you had it," Herrig added. "People say things about me using my sex appeal, but of course I’m going to use it. It’s good for me, it’s good for my sponsors. It helps me afford to train full time and do other things outside of fighting, because it’s not like fighting pays the bills. Most pop singers who get their big breaks are beautiful and they get those breaks because those are the ones that you can market.”
