After making Maxim's Top 100 of Sexiest Women alive and starring the video game Red Alert 3 (see video below!) it is hardly surprising that MMA fighter Gina Carano was offered a role in a movie by film director Steven Soderbergh.
Rumor has it they even rewrote the plot and changed the movie title for Carano who now plays a black ops soldier, Mallory Kane, in a spy thriller called Haywire instead of portraying a girl from the wrong side of the track in what was supposed to be called "Knockout."
Maybe the director wanted to avoid reminding her of first and only loss via TKO to the current Strikeforce Champion Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos in Aug. 2009. No doubt she still suffers from nightmares of Santos manhandling her in the cage.
The cast is littered with big names such as Michael Douglas, Dennis Quaid, Ewan McGregor, Bill Paxton, Antonio Banderas and Channing Tatum.
Filming Haywire also gave Carano the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful places in Europe such as Barcelona, Spain and Dublin, Ireland.
Although the release is scheduled for Jan. 2011 it is highly unlikely that Carano will return to the cage as long as Santos terrorizes her weight division.
