According to a Jan. 30 report from Wombat Sports, MMA beauty Amber Stautzenberger is set to fight in March at an XKO MMA event.
Stautzenberger will take Ashley Allen at XKO MMA in Arlington, Texas on March 23. Allen will be making her pro debut, while Stautzenberger will be looking to make it two wins in a row.
Stautzenberger is making a quick turnaround, as she suffered virtually no damage in a Jan. 26 victory over Summer Artherton at Dakota FC 14.
Stautzenberger earned the win over Artherton with a gorgeous armbar at the 1:07 mark of the opening frame, which evened her pro MMA record to 1-1.
The 25-year-old Stautzenberger had been riding a two-fight losing skid, as she dropped back-to-back tilts against Invicta FC vets Paige VanZant and Tecia Torres.
Picking up the 'W' over a tough competitor like Artherton got her back on the fast track to stardom and undoubtedly raised eyebrows among MMA promoters across the country, and a win over Allen may see her knocking on the door for a shot with a top-notch promotion like Invicta FC or XFC.
There's unlikely to be any back-and-forth trash-talking between Stautzenberger and Allen, as "The Apex Predator" always keeps it classy and respectful.
"It's not my thing to feud," Stautzenberger said. "It's a sport. I'll show my skills in the cage. Both sexes get into it just as much. The DFC card I will be on, I saw two of the adult male fighters constantly putting each other down on Facebook."
