Thank you for reading.

90 plus 3 - Full Time - Sounders 2 : 0 Philadelphia Union

90 Attendance is 36, 241. 3 minutes of added time.

87. Philly are tiring mentally and making errors but to be fair, they have handled an awkward second half well. Fucito gets stuck in on Orozco more than he perhaps needs to given the game situation.

84. Fucito looking active. Marshall saves Seattle with a well timed interception of a Jacobson through ball, and then the target for that pass, Alejandro Moreno, is cautioned for a foul

79. Nyassi nets after receiving the ball from Montero but is clearly offside. Fucito makes room but Seitz deflects his shot wide and from the corner Levesque is unable to direct his header on target.

75. Fucito in for Zakuani as Schmid tries to give everyone playing time.

72. Levesque switched to centre and Nyassi to left midfield, Zakuani on the right.

70 Okugo on for Myrie as Nowak perhaps worries about a second yellow for the youngster.

65. Nyassi weaved, swerved and side stepped his way through the Union rearguard but shoots wide as he began to enjoy the greater freedom allowed by palying against tem men.

62. Myrie booked for barging over Zakuani. Jacobson deflects the Montero free behind. Series of corners as Seattle press.

59. Moreno receives the ball surprisingly unmarked but can't turn in time. Ljungberg goes off to be replaced by Sanna Nyassi.

56. Montero blasts over as Seattle press. Setiz is being increasingly called into action.

54.  Zakuani  misses an open goal after Seitz charged out to foil Montero, and the ball fell to the Congolese.

51. Hurtado dips to head a Ljungberg corner but Union scramble it clear.

50. Very quiet opening as both sides come to terms with the situation, and wonder how best to handle it.

46. Stefani Miglioranzi replaces Danny Mwanga for Philly as Nowak looks perhaps to avoid a hiding.

45 Half time  Sounders 2 : 0 Philadelphia Union

42. GOAL. Alonso took a long range drive after Seitz palmed out a cross. The ball bounced over all, and Montero nipped in and ducked to head home Sounders second. Sounders 2 : 0 Philadelphia Union

39. Ricardo Salazar issues Toni Stahl his second yellow for a knee to the back of Montero. A yellow certainly but a  tough red card for Philly.

37. Moreno feeds Le Toux unmarked. He slots home but the flag is up for offside.

32. Evans intercepts a Myrie cross. They are the two best players on the pitch.

31. Evans corner from the left misses everyone till it gets to Montero who shoots weakly at Seitz.

25. Stahl saves Union as he intercepts a Ljungberg right side pass, after Zakuani cleverly flipped possession to him. Montero blasts wide with his first shot on target.

23. Toni Stahl booked for barging into Ljungberg's back.

19. Danny Mwanga finds Moreno whose cross finds Andrew Jacobson but he blasts over.

18. Torres chips in to find Le Toux and he stumbles over the challenging Hurtado to allow Keller to gather.

15. Levesque spoons it over after the increasingly dangerous Zakuani slides an inch perfect pass beyond the Philly defence.

13. Perhaps against the run of play, the home side lead. Alonso booked for hacking Moreno.

12. GOAL.  Zakuani down the left after Montero feeds him. Brad Evans is beautifully placed to score past Seitz. Sounders 1 : 0 Philly

8. Free kick Philly but Sounders win possession, however look disjointed, and the crowd is just beginning to sense it.

5. Keller tips over from Orozco. Union on top.

4 Philly look dangerous as a David Myrie cross is headed away for a corner.

1. 39 seconds in and Philly have their first yellow, Califf, for a foul on Ljungberg.

 KICK OFF

6.50 Sounders fans show a funny comic touch given the laboue strife that nearly derailed the season, by unveling a banner with 'Smash the Union' emblazoned on it.

6.47 Teams are coming out. There are probably over 150 Philly fans in their corner at the north east of Qwest.

Sounders: Kasey Keller, Zach Scott, Jhon Hurtado, Tyrone Marshall, Leo Gonzalez; Osvaldo Alonso, Roger Levesque, Brad Evans, Steve Zakuani; Freddie Ljungberg, Fredy Montero

Subs: Terry Boss, Tyson Wahl, Pat Ianni, Mike Fucito, Nate Sturgis, Sanna Nyassi, David Estrada,

Philadelphia Union: Chris Seitz; David Myrie , Danny Califf, Jordan Harvey, Tony Stahl; Andrew Jacobson, Danny Mwanga, Michael Orizco; Roger Torres, Alejandro Moreno, Sebastien Le Toux

Substitutes: Brad Knighton, Jack McInerney, Shavar Thomas, Stefani Miglioranzi, Amobi Okugo, Nick Zimmerman, Kyle Nakazawa

 6.45 Teams are being announced.

6.41 Philly Union staff are behind me in the press box. They are positively beaming as the kick off approaches. Cliff McGrath has been awarded the golden scarf, a quaint custom here to award service to the game.

6.34 Pre game ceremonies are in place. Dancers, flags and bands on pitch.

6.25 Sides are warming up. It's raining hard. Mwanga will play midfield and Roger Torres probably with him in a 4-4-2 for Philly. No real surprises for Seattle, except perhaps Zach Scott being asked to play right back in place of the suspended James Riley. Fred's absence due to a similar suspension allows Torres and Mwanga a place in midfield.

It's 6.06 and the rain is coming down heavily. There are 50 or so Philly fan here and the Sounders fans have welcomed Le Toux with a chant. Here are the teams:

Sounders: Kasey Keller, Zach Scott, Jhon Hurtado, Tyrone Marshall, Leo Gonzalez; Osvaldo Alonso, Roger Levesque, Brad Evans, Steve Zakuani; Freddie Ljungberg, Fredy Montero

Subs: Terry Boss, Tyson Wahl, Pat Ianni, Mike Fucito, Nate Sturgis, Sanna Nyassi, David Estrada,

Philadelphia Union: Chris Seitz; David Myrie, Danny Califf, Jordan Harvey, Tony Stahl; Andrew Jacobson, Danny Mwanga, Michael Orizco; Roger Torres, Alejandro Moreno, Sebastien Le Toux

Substitutes: Brad Knighton, Jack McInerney, Shavar Thomas, Stefani Miglioranzi, Amobi Okugo, Nick Zimmerman, Kyle Nakazawa
