The 2nd Annual MLK Day Jobs and Opportunities Fair will take place on Monday, January 21st from 9am-1pm inside the Hum Building at Girard College, 2101 S. College Avenue, Philadelphia, PA.
If you are looking for a job this is an event that you do not want to miss. Job opportunities will be available in various industries, including health care, construction, retail, and more! Participating employers include Vanguard, AmeriCorps, Target, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia & more. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in face-to-face job screenings and interviews with invited employers offering available jobs, access to employment readiness workshops, including resume writing, job search training and support services such as income tax assistance, credit repair and access to public benefits.
If you are a Veteran, there will be a special emphasis on connecting veterans to employment and other resources. The University of Pennsylvania Veterans Upward Bound Program will offer two workshops for veterans about available resources. The Philadelphia Commerce Department will offer a workshop on how to start a business, with a particular focus on recruiting veterans to participate.
