Doug Fister, who was traded to the Washington Nationals (by the Detroit Tigers) a few months ago told the media earlier this week that he feels the rotation in D.C. is “as good, if not better” than the one he left here in the Motor City. You can check out the story here.

With the 2014 Spring Training season just around the corner, Clay Davenport released his early picks to win each division as well as who will nap the Wild Card spots via CBSSports.com. He also projects the win-loss records for all 30 MLB teams. Here are some interesting parts of his piece:

He has our Tigers winning the most games in all of MLB at 91. The only other teams he has reaching 90 wins are the St. Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays.

Only one team will fail to get at least 70 wins according to the projects, the Chicago Cubs.

The teams that will reach the postseason according to Davenport are the Tigers, Rays, Boston Red Sox, Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers, Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves, Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants.
