'MLB 14 The Show" release date announced

Sony typically has announced the new "MLB The Show" release date by this point every year. This year, Sony waited a little longer than usual, announcing the release date earlier today. The game's been delayed every so slightly, but for good reason.

The usual date has been the middle-to-late March. To coincide with the baseball season a little better, the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of "MLB 14 The Show" will come out April 1st. The PlayStation 4 version comes out in May. No exact date was given.

Game saves will work on all three versions and the save will work with future editions as well, making this the first sports game where that is possible. Over 50 improvements strive to make the game faster and more realistic. One such improvement comes in the form of quick counts, which speed up the game by simulating counts so that when a batter steps up to the plate, there might be a count of one ball and one strike for instance.
