The official website of Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) was showing a special parking notice the morning of March 24, 2010, advising travelers the parking ramps and lots there are full or near-full.
Airport officials are suggesting passengers scheduled to fly out of MKE arrange a ride to the airport or get there by shuttle, taxi or bus or use off-airport parking.
But the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports many nearby hotel parking lots are full too.
Mitchell Airport's website lists ground transportation options and phone numbers.
This parking-lot traffic jam is happening now because business and vacation flying are both heavy.

In response @MitchellAirport tweeted late morning, "We do currently have parking available in many of our lots. Check our live parking monitor for updates."
