Yesterday, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S4 in New York City and all the way across the country, the reaction is very mixed. The bottom line is that many in Los Angeles expected a lot more.
Derrick Printz, a regular reader of this column, expected a lot more. "Where is the 3D imaging that was hyped up? Where is the eye scrolling feature? Why is there only a quad-core processor in the U.S. version?" he angrily questions. Another reader, Monica Castro, agrees.
"Had they not hyped this up to be the beginning and end of all smartphones, I may have not been so disappointed," she says. There is nothing that really makes me want to sell my Galaxy Note 2 in order to get this," she continues.
The S4 has several interesting features, including a 5-inch screen, 13-megapixel camera and a Dual Camera mode for shooting photos and videos with both the phone's cameras at the same time. Normally, it would cause a lot of excitement.
Perhaps Samsung isn't to blame for the muted response, since many of the features that didn't make the phone were just rumors spread by the Internet. In any case, the phone is expected to fly off shelves when it hits the U.S. market sometime in June.
