Kansas City native Laura Marcusse-Sanko will make her professional debut at Invicta FC on Saturday night at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. Invicta FC is the all-pro women’s mixed martial arts competition, which began in Kansas City about a year ago. The undercard, consisting of six bouts, will feature fighters from all over the world including Marcusse-Sanko. The main event will feature Rio de Janeiro’s Claudia Gadelha against Carla Esparza of Redondo Beach, Calif. The action begins at 6 p.m., with tickets beginning at $25.
First Friday Art Walk will be held at the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City on Friday night. The event will feature artists, food and drink, music and entertainment. The galleries in the district, along with most of the businesses, will be open from 7 to 9 p.m.
