We are far beyond our new years resolutions. We are past the fitness crazes like Shake Weights, Shape Up shoes, Ab toning belts, etc. We can't run one more mile on the "Dreadmill", or do anymore reps with those dumb-bells! It's time to explore new options. There are many things you can do, higher a trainer, get a workout buddy, take a group exercise class- but those have all been done before. It's time to do some group training.
Group training is a smaller group exercise class that keeps you more accountable for your form and for your attendance. It can be a bit more motivating because you are still getting a "more than one atmosphere," plus its more one on one and personable. A typical group exercise class honestly doesn't care if you show up or not, they are just there. There are also at least 10-15 people per class so it is hard for the instructor to keep an eye on your form. A popular group training class is a TRx class.
TRx is becoming more and more prevalent throughout health clubs. TRx is 2 straps suspended by an anchor in a wall or ceiling, where you are able to do body weight exercises. It is completely mobile, so whether you take a class in a gym, or have one on your own, it can go anywhere. Moreover, these workouts, all you use is your body weight, and resistance can be easily adjusted by body position. The best thing about TRx is, that in order to have proper form, it is a MUST that you maintain a "plank" position in most exercises. This ensures that you use your core, more so than you would with other exercises.
TRx meets your needs no matter what fitness level you are on, or no matter where you go!
