Mike Mullaney host of New England Lifestyles, which airs each Sunday Morning from 6 a.m. - 7 a.m. on Mix 104.1 has been in the business of spreading hope for the past ten years.

The New England Lifestyles show on Mix seeks out non-profits and other organizations that focus mainly on supporting young families, women's issues and children.

"Every station is broadcasting what is considered the best interest of their specific audience and with our station, that audience is reflected in those topics." M. Mullaney shared during a brief interview after the beginning of the new year.

The show's goal is to make a difference for as many groups as possible.

Each year Boston's Children's Hospital receives proceeds from its "Mix Cares for Kids Radiothon." Generating close to $600,000 in 2013, for the children who currently are being treated for cancer. Celebrating the Radiothon's 10th Anniversary and counting Mullaney says, "Its amazing, watching kids year to year go from patients to healthy kids."

Some of the highlights of 2013 for the Assistant Program director include last years visit by Grammy Nominee for "Best New Artist" Ed Sheeran, volunteering to do a show for Koats for Kids with Karson and Kennedy.

The station had expected a donation of possibly 1,000 coats total, planning a delivery of coat donations to the Big Brothers and Sisters Organization in Boston.

"We collected over 13,000 coats! and gave 'Notre Dame Academy for Girls' in Hingham, MA a free Ed Sheeran concert." Mike admitted, it was pandemonium! The girls of Hingham collected 3,000 coats last year! Bravo girls!

Mix 104.1 is currently rated among the top three radio stations that focus on issues for women and children. It's almost too easy to understand why.
