Mosaic Technology will be hosting an invitation only industry roundtable discussion with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney next week. The event will kick-off bright and early at 8:45 AM at the company’s Salem, NH headquarters on Monday, June 27.
A self described “leading expert in virtualization and date storage technology”, Mosaic Technology markets its services to healthcare providers by promising to increase their chances of receiving a HITECH stimulus payment through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). ARRA authorized the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to provide a reimbursement incentive for physician and hospital providers who become “meaningful users” of electronic health records.
For his part, Mitt Romney has been a vocal critic of the stimulus package passed by Democrats in Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama in 2009. His campaign recently took Obama to task for joking about the fact that some stimulus projects were not as “shovel-ready as we expected.”
ARRA funded 560,992 jobs in the first quarter of 2011, according to Recovery.gov, a federal government website that tracks stimulus spending.
