We all know how fast these cars are, but are they actually fast enough to evade police? Most police officers agree that with the right driver behind the wheel, a Mitsubishi EVO really can out run a police car. However, most times the drivers crash and end up getting caught anyway. It's our lucky day because every police cruiser comes equipped with video recording. So lets check out the video content of this Mitsubishi EVO evading police! (From a safe distance.)
Mitsubishi EVO specifications:
- 2.0 liter in-line four cylinder engine
- DOHC, four valves per cylinder
- 271 hp @ 6500 RPM
- 273 tq @ 3500 RPM
- 3263 lb curb weight
- 5 or 6 speed manual

Bonus video! EVO evasion technique
Summary
After watching the content we can clearly see how all-wheel drive dominates on slick surfaces. The light and properly distributed weight of the Lancer combined with all wheel drive is excellent on all surfaces including slick ones. With the right driver behind the wheel and a little luck, this Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution escaped police in Hungary with ease. If it wasn't for traffic, the EVO would have gotten away sooner! If this was in America, that EVO would have not been able to escape. In America, you can't out run a radio.
