Modifications include upgraded turbo, exhaust, intake, fuel system, engine internals, and ECU programming to accommodate the extra power. Modifying a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution for high power gains isn't cheap, but it is cheaper than most vehicles. Racing against the likes of America's pony cars, this Mitsubishi dominates all it encounters.

Awesome video. There's no question that the imports are neck and neck with the domestics now as far as performance goes.
However, to be fair, none of those domestics were modified as heavily as the Evo was.
Very true! They are pushing comparable numbers though. I like the last race where the classic muscle kills the EVO. 300 shot of NOS can fix anything lol.
