“Mistletoe Over Manhattan” is a Hallmark Original Movie that premiered in 2011. The movie about Santa Claus and the Christmas spirit, which airs as part of Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas, stars Tricia Helfer, Greg Bryk Tedde Moore and Mairtin O'Carrigan.
Rebecca (Moore) is worried that her exhausted, workaholic husband Nick (O’Carrigan) has lost his holiday spirit. In an effort to help him recapture his bliss she travels to New York City, the place where she met and fell in love with Nick.
In New York City, Rebecca visits a crowded diner, where she meets a kindly cop named Joe (Bryk) who is worried about his grandmother and his family. Joe tells Rebecca that he `and his wife Lucy (Helfer) are in the middle of a divorce. Rebecca senses that Joe is still in love with his estranged wife.
Joe needs a nanny to watch over his children, so Rebecca agrees to work as the family’s nanny until Christmas, hoping to help the family to reunite. She moves into the household and befriends Lucy and the children.
Santa’s chief Elf, Sparky, is worried sick about Rebecca so he tracks her down in the city and begs her to return to the North Pole. Rebecca refuses to leave the family when she feels they need her help and eventually explains the situation to Santa, who is touched and agrees to help her bring the family back together.
To Rebecca’s delight, by healing Joe and Lucy’s family, she shows Santa that Christmas miracles are still possible and his job is more important than ever!
