Shop more than 45 local artisans, craft makers, and merchants, and take pictures with Santa, all while supporting the local community during the Junior League of Charlottesville’s annual Mistletoe Market to be held Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Boar’s Head Pavilion from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Back for its 10th year, Mistletoe Market offers holiday shoppers a great selection of clothing, jewelry, gifts, toys, gourmet foods, home furnishings and supports the great work of the Junior League of Charlottesville (JLC).
Proceeds from the Mistletoe Market support the Junior League of Charlottesville, an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
The JLC is joining other Junior Leagues around the world in focusing our volunteer efforts and resources towards a specific community focus. During the 2013-2014 League year, JLC is striving to do more for local literacy programs. The JLC has volunteered over 3,000 hours of literacy support to local non-profits over the last 5 years. Past literacy projects have supported organizations such as Charlottesville Youth and Family Services, the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia, Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle, Barrett Early Learning Center, the Virginia Discovery Museum, as well as local schools. The JLC will continue supporting these established relationships and foster new opportunities for the coming years.
Mistletoe Market will feature story time and pictures with Santa from 12 - 2 PM. Families will receive a digital, downloadable image courtesy of Daane Studios.
