Missy and Jase Robertson are one of the happy couples on Duck Dynasty. Every week, they let fans in on their live and their business, and the fans love it, quickly making the show a highly rated hit for A&E.
In a new interview, Missy is opening up about her husband, what she'd change about him, and the rocky early years of their marriage.
"It wasn't love at first sight with Jase," Missy admitted to In Touch Weekly on December 13. "It took me a while to get to know him before I knew I wanted to marry him."
Now that they are married, Missy is happy with just about everything -- except for what Jase has going on in his facial region! Fortunately, that won't be there for ever. "I'd much rather have the face that I fell in love with," she tells the mag. "He says, 'When the show is over, I’m shaving!'"
Although things are fine and dandy now as the couple lives the life of fame and fortune on their A&E series, it wasn't always that way. In fact, Missy and Jase went through a seriously rough time when their daughter, Mia, was born with a disability.
"She was born with a cleft lip and it was heartbreaking. It was especially tough on Jase to see his little girl with a disability, so we had to alternate who was the 'rock' during that time," Missy explains.
But now, Mia is doing great and her confidence level is higher than anyone expected. Her proud mama reveals, "She just bursts into a room and starts talking — she’s even done public speaking in front of thousands of people!"
