Nothing in life is guaranteed, but Saturday’s SEC Championship game is. The Tigers are going to win the SEC Championship, that you can be sure of - however which Tiger team will come out on top is the million dollar question.
According to a Sportsline report on Dec. 6 the Missouri Tigers will face the Auburn Tigers tomorrow afternoon to not only determine the 2013 SEC Champion, but the winner of this game may also end up in the BCS National Championship game depending on how the Big Ten and ACC Championship games play out.
Both of these teams have already surpassed their 2013 expectations according to many college football experts, but these two teams are not here over Alabama, LSU or Georgia by a fluke - they both are playing outstanding football.
Mizzou can throw the ball with best of them and Auburn can run it with best of them and they both have good defenses, which is probably why even Las Vegas odd makers can't pick a favorite.
According to Jim Feist update on Dec. 6, Auburn opened as a 3 point favorite but the game is now at even at most Vegas casinos.
Prediction: This game is a tough one as many championship games are, but this one may literally come down to the final play. With two great teams I try to look at what could be the difference, no matter how small.
The difference in this game - lady luck.
Auburn wouldn't be here without having two of the college football plays of the year.
First they beat Georgia on a 4th down bomb that was tipped around like a volleyball that landed in Ricardo Louis' hands like it was handed to him, then of course the play folks are still talking about when the Tigers ran back a missed FG vs. Alabama 109 yards with no time left last week.
This game should be another great one, but Auburn wins in the end.
The SEC Championship will be aired on CBS at 4:00 p.m. EST Dec. 7, and can also be seen streaming live online via CBS Sports
