This whole mess in Syria has engaged me to resurrect my position here as Kansas City Political Buzz Examiner. I stopped writing three years ago, well, because I was attempting to write for an income. I used to comb through stories and report facts and present information that was reliable, and well, good.
Then I realized I was doing about two hours of research, and an additional hour of writing/editing to make a pittance. So let this be Kansas City Political Buzz Examiner, Jason Adkins, Version 2.0.
Anyway, I wanted to put together a summary of what Missouri Representatives and Senators felt about this Syria issue. I used primarily one source, which I believe is a good one. So here's the long and short of it:
Sen. Claire McCaskill - Apparently whatever Obama wants to do.
Both Senators agree that President Obama asking Congress for approval was the right decision.
William "Lacy" Clay Jr. - Undecided.
Ann Wagner - No support.
Blaine Luetkemeyer - No support.
Vicky Hartzler - Undecided.
Emanuel Cleaver - No.
Sam Graves - Undecided.
Billy Long - Ambiguous politician's answer. Who the crap knows...
Jason Smith - Probably no.
And there you have it. That's where Missouri stands on Syria.
Where do I stand? I'm a no. Frankly I haven't dedicated all that much time to educating myself properly, but I'm generally anti-war anyway.
What's your opinion? Let me know in the comments below. Do you support going to war, or should we stay out?
