Her church members from Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries have been in touch with her on Facebook and say she is helping to care for victims and their families.
Other church members of the same missionary group were at the Westgate Mall in Kenya just 48 hours before the attack.
Elder Calvin Jones, Jr. reported:
"I heard the news Saturday. I went into tears, because thinking of the fact that we had just left the mall. As I watched it on TV, you were always looking to see if you saw anybody that you met."
Elder Juliette Davis said, "It was very frightening to think about the fact that somebody that you knew could be in the midst of that!"
Thankfully, church members were able to confirm quickly on Facebook that Davis was fine; however, many members of the Nairobi church where Mt. Gilead was serving, suffered tremendous loss.
The church where Davis is actually assigned as a long term member has families who lost members in the shooting. She reported she's been able to be on site, on the ground, mobilized, and helping those families.
Members of Mt. Gilead say their focus is on prayer and sending supplies to help their friends overseas.
