Police officers canvassed the area around her apartment when a call came in from the local bowling alley. A man notified the police that a little boy was up inside the toy claw machine. In order for the little boy to get inside the machine was if he had crawled up through the prize hole.

VVS, owner of the machine Jim Lakey was interviewed by KLKN-TV. He stated, “You have to weave your way in and out, so he had to work pretty hard to get in there. It’s kind of a rarity.”

Rachell Hildreth is a bartender at Madsen’s Bowling Alley and Billiards. She said that the little boy was ignoring people trying to get his attention on the outside of the machine. Hildreth said that “he was just picking up stuffed animals and putting them down where they come out.”

In order to get the boy safely out of the machine, Lakey went to the bowling alley with the key. The little boy was uninjured and was even allowed to keep one of the stuffed toys.

Police officers reported that the mother would not be cited for any crime due to the fact that she contacted the police to report her son missing immediately. They also stated that there were no signs of child neglect.
