Scott is five months pregnant. Authorities have apparently discovered "possible evidence" Thursday, but details are under wraps about what that means. Investigators are urged not to disturb any clues they might come across in their search for the missing pregnant woman.
Scott's Toyota 4Runner was found Wednesday the Peahi area of Haiku. Her dog was spotted, however. Her ex-boyfriend -- Steven Capobianco -- said that she picked him up Sunday night and drove him to Keanae. The road there was several miles on a winding highway. He needed a lift to fix his truck. The dog was with Scott when she picked him up, Capobianco said. After she dropped him off and he fixed his truck, Scott later was driving behind him to Haiku. He claims to have lost track of her along the way, but thought she made it home safely.
Capobianco was reportedly questioned by police in the missing pregnant woman case and ordered to take a lie-detector test -- which he failed. He told cops he "absolutely" did not hurt his ex-girlfriend, who is described as being a redhead that is 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds.
Scott's ex said they have remained good friends despite the fact they broke up several years back. He added that they "occasionally hooked up." He suspects he's the father of her baby, but is just assuming that.
This does not put Steven Capobianco in a good place in Carly Scott's disappearance. Their story makes him seem like an obvious suspect, but no one knows for certain. Hopefully this missing pregnant woman will have a good ending if she is found.
