Missing pregnant woman Carly Scott’s search in underway in Hawaii, according to a Feb. 14 ABC News report. The missing five months pregnant 27-year-old Hawaii woman’s burned 1997 Toyota 4Runner was found Wednesday. Her mother reported her missing Monday, telling police that she was last seen Sunday night in Maui. Police reports indicate that “possible evidence” has been recovered in the search, but not have disclosed the evidence.
According to USA Today, Steven Capobianco, Scott's ex-boyfriend last saw her on Sunday night after she picked him up Sunday night and drove him to Keanae, so he could fix his truck. Scott’s dog, Nala, which was found nearby in Nahiku was with her when she picked him up, Capobiano said.
After dropping him off, Scott reportedly drove behind him until he lost sight of her, and he assumed she had arrived safely at her destination. "I sent her a text that said, 'thank you,' but I figured she was working, that's why she didn't get back to me right away," Capobianco told Hawaii News Now. "It wasn't until the cops showed up at my house at 5:30 in the morning the next day that I realized something was wrong."
While police have not made any arrests or named any suspects, Capobiano is under no illusions as to where he stands in the investigation. “I mean, it's undeniable that I'm probably the prime suspect, so they're not going to tell me details,” Capobianco said.
WebProNews reports that Scott is 5’10, 160 lb., with red hair and green eyes. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Wendell Loo at (808) 270-6516 during business hours or (808) 268-2763 after hours.
