Tuesday, March 05, 2013-A missing child was reported missing around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. Officers searched the Cedar Tree Apartments on 147 Avenue between Burnside and Stark Street.
Police say they were trying to determine whether or not another family member may have had the child. They were initially looking for a toddler because they were not able to determine the age of the child. Police were following up with every family member’s address.
Around 7 a.m., police found the child, which turned out to be a four-month-old boy, 11 blocks from where he disappeared from, in the front yard of a house on the 400 block of SE 139 Avenue. Police have not released who initially found the child.
The child was taken to the hospital via ambulance for evaluation, and appears to be in good condition.
No suspect has been named by police, but detectives are conducting a thorough investigation.
