Glory Haggerty, a UC coed, vanished a week ago and her case has only recently gotten media attention. This young woman was last seen leaving her dorm room last Saturday night with an unidentified man -- who witnesses at first believed was someone the missing woman knew. After a brief investigation, officials have acknowledged that the man last seen with this missing woman is someone that none of her friends know. So who is he?
The latest reports in her disappearance were published this week here and here, but a Facebook page committed to missing persons stories shared the flier to nearly 100,000 followers who are sharing in hopes of alerting someone who might know something. As of 1:58 p.m., January 18, 2013, this young woman still hasn't been found.
As stated in many of my articles, the first 48 to 72 hours are the most vital in a missing person's case. With it being nearly a week since anyone last saw Glory Haggerty, it's hard to be optimistic in how this case might end. Nonetheless, it's hopeful that this young woman is found safe and just turns out to be voluntarily missing. Though it's disturbing to note that all of her belongings were left behind in her dorm and she hasn't been back since to retrieve anything. She also hasn't been active on any of her social networking profiles, nor has she been in any contact whatsoever with friends or loved ones.
