Missing Chicago student Pravin Varughese was found dead on Feb. 18, six days after he went missing. According to Fox2Now, police located Varughese's body in Carbondale. Police say that Varughese may have gotten into an argument with someone before his disappearance last Wednesday night. They are still investigating.
Just after the 19-year-old went missing, his parents offered a $15,000 reward to anyone who had any information that could help locate their son. It's unclear if anyone came forward with any information but police found the teen dead after the use of a helicopter and police dogs.
Missing Chicago student Pravin Varughese was found near Giant City road. Police did not release details about the condition of the body or whether or not they are seeking a suspect in this case. It does sound like this could have been a suicide but nothing has been confirmed at this point.
"On behalf of our Family, we wanted to thank you all for your kind words, endless support and prayers for Pravin. Authorities have confirmed this morning that they have found his body. We ask that you continue to keep Pravin’s parents and sisters in your prayers as we go through this difficult time and mourn the loss of a beloved Son Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin, & Friend (sic)," wrote Jiji Abraham on Varughese's Facebook wall.
