Philadelphia Police are reporting today that a woman found dead in her vehicle, 2007 Nissan Ultima, near 30th Street, is that of missing woman Nadia Malik of Broomall. Miss Malik had been reported missing by her family February 9th.
Police had determined that Malik had last been seen with former boyfriend, Bhupinder Singh, who was wanted for questioning in Malik’s disappearance. Singh was found in Salon, Ohio and was ordered extradited to Pennsylvania on February 14th for questioning and to face charges of violating probation conditions from an earlier arrest. Family members had reported to have spoken to Malik by phone saying she was with Singh who was refusing to let her go. Singh’s Pennsylvania court record includes two drunken driving convictions and another conviction for throwing bottles at a convenience store clerk
Nbc10 is reporting that Philadelphia Police stated that Malik’s body was found in her automobile, slumped over to the passenger side covered by books. The car had been parked along 30th Street since February 9th which is when the first parking ticket was placed on the car. The car had numerous tickets but it was a 911 call which alerted authorities that this car matched that of the one that had been listed in news reports.
