Hearing someone has stowed away on a plane is not a common occurrence anymore and to hear a 9-year-old Minneapolis boy whose name has not been disclosed, was able to do it baffled many airport officials.

On Saturday media is reporting that a boy ran away from home on Wednesday and made it all the way to Las Vegas by boarding a plane all by himself, reports Star Tribune.

The boy managed to pass TSA checkpoints and Delta agents and even board the plane without a pass on Thursday around 11:15 a.m. The boy also took some luggage off a carousel and ordered food at an airport restaurant, but left it behind when he told the counter person he was going to the restroom.

The flight crew became suspicious of the boy while the plane was in flight and called ahead to the Las Vegas police. They met the boy and took him into protective custody.

"At this point, this is a Delta and TSA Issue," Pat Hogan a spokesperson for the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport told KARE News.

There has been no comment whether TSA or Delta will be beefing up their security and nothing has been said what will happen to the young man, but Mike Klassen posted on social media that he knew what to do with him, "Put him in charge of TSA."
