A Miss Uzbekistan mystery has one modeling agent calling Rakhima Ganieva a mystery woman with a “career built on lies,” and the Miss World Competition 2013 still at a loss as to just who this Muslim beauty truly is. According to the Inquisitr this Sunday, Sept. 15, while the details surrounding the Miss Uzbekistan contestant continue to unravel, viewers still don’t have a clear picture as to Rakhima Ganieva’s story as the crowned Uzbek winner.
The Miss Uzbekistan mystery unfolds as Ganieva said this week during the Miss World 2013 competition that she is representing her country of Uzbekistan in the female beauty pageant held in Indonesia this year. Yet various other sources say that this is a lie, as Uzbekistan, a strongly Muslim country, does not normally even vote for a Miss Uzbekistan. Furthermore, it has never sent a representative to the female-led competition in the past, while Ganieva argues she is the first to take part in the important international beauty pageant.
According to officials from the Uzbek Cultural Ministry and the Uzbekistan National Committee on Women, there has been no mention among their parties of Rakhima Ganieva or the Miss Uzbekistan mystery contestant. Similarly, although the 18-year-old has claimed to have studied law at a top-ranking university in the country, the college has no official records of her attendance, only adding to this mystery.
None of this fanfare, however, is stopping the young model from having her heart bent on winning the competition. She was recently spotted in the capital of Tashkent, and has often taken to Facebook and Twitter to keep fans abreast of her activities. Her caption and attached photo on the official Miss World 2013 Competition website has her saying, “I really want to win.”
Yet one modeling agent is saying this Miss Uzbekistan mystery woman has a career built on lies. Zhavlon Momolov, who works at the Pro Models Agency in Tashkent, recently had this statement about Rahkima Ganieva:
“If there had been a process to choose a young lady for this competition, I can assure you that a much more beautiful model would have been chosen. I’m sorry that Ganieva is choosing to build a career on lies.”
An investigation is allegedly underway to discover Ganieva’s story, and how she has managed to attend such high-top fashion shows as well as be crowned the first Miss Uzbekistan without process. The mystery continues.
