Rima Fakih, the stunning brunette who was crowned Miss USA 2010 in Las Vegas May 16, maintains her sizzling bikini body by running, dancing and kickboxing. .jpg)
Fakih, 24, has made history as the first Muslim and the first Arab-American to be named Miss USA.
Rima, who was born in Lebanon, was raised in New York and moved to Michigan with her family in 2003.
Fakih attended Catholic school as a child and told pageant organizers her family celebrates both Muslim and Christian faiths.
She is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn with degrees in economics and business management. She eventually plans to attend law school.

BREAST-CANCER AWARENESS ADVOCATE
During her year-long reign, Rima will be an advocate for breast and ovarian cancer awareness, the official causes of the Miss USA pageant.
The athletic, raven-haired beauty is also an active member of the Pink Fund, a financial assistance organization that helps fund treatment for breast cancer patients. .jpg)

As Miss Michigan USA, Rima's platform was women’s self-defense awareness, educating women on the importance of learning how to protect themselves (hence her love of kickboxing).
During the interview portion of the Miss USA pageant, Fakih was asked whether she believed birth control should be covered by health insurance, and she said yes, pointing to its high cost.
"I believe that birth control is just like every other medication even though it's a controlled substance," Fakih said. Amazingly, birth control is not covered by insurance, although Viagra prescriptions are.
"I WANT A PIZZA'
Fakih will represent the U.S. in the 2010 Miss Universe pageant August 23.
For now, she gets a one-year lease on an upscale New York apartment with living expenses, an undisclosed salary, and various health, professional and beauty services.
When asked how she felt about being the new Miss USA, Rima -- who has been on a strict diet in the weeks preceding the pageant -- joked: "Ask me after I've had a pizza."

I don't watch pageants, but I'm an expertly trained beautiful woman watcher. She is stunning, and I think the popular trend in beauty right now is mixed-race/exotic, and she fits perfectly in that category. The religion thing is being blown out of proportion by conservative bigots
